Our Species
Colombia is strategically located and the second most biodiverse country in the world. It is the living proof that high quality flowers can emerge from socially and environmentally sustainable processes. It offers the ideal sunlight, humidity, temperature, and fertility conditions for sustaining a robust flower growing sector that has positioned this South American nation as the second largest exporter of flowers in the world. With more than 60 species, and counting more than 1,400 different varieties, Flowers of Colombia meets the expectations of the most demanding customers.
Our flowers are recognized worldwide for their excellence on account of size, diversity, and quality, bearing the seal of our flower growers who work hard to develop the best production techniques to guarantee a unique product in the world. Production never stops. All year round, Flowers of Colombia offers formal and fair jobs to more than 200,000 people, with women representing about half of them.
Flowers of Colombia are grown under strict methods that respect nature and the environment. Our farms make use of rainwater, thus saving millions of liters of water each year. More than 50% of the water used in farms is rainwater, and soils are regenerating thanks to a reduction of over 50% in the use of pesticides. All year round, the power of the Colombian sun is harnessed to provide clean energy.
The durability of our flowers is so high, that after being transported for many days by sea to destinations like Japan or Korea, their splendor, color, and size remain for 15 more days in a flower vase.
Flowers of Colombia is diversity in Roses, Carnations, Chrysanthemums, Alstroemerias, Hydrangeas, and many more.
