Carnation

Colombia is the largest producer of carnations and mini carnations in the world. It has the greatest number of varieties produced all year round, mainly in the Bogotá Savanna through hydroponic farming. Carnations are an adapting plantation and the techniques applied to the crop make them known for the many varieties produced as well as for their long vase life. Two-tone carnations and other novelty colors grown in Colombia, as well as the great variety of mini carnations that are available, have contributed to reinforce Colombia´s standing as the main carnation supplier in the world.
